Routt County Riders

In 2012, Routt County Riders (RCR) closely aligned with the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) as a new chapter of IMBA. RCR refocused its energy towards trail maintenance & development, advocacy, and being local riders together. They’ve completed hundreds, if not thousands, of volunteer hours working trails on US Forest Service lands, Steamboat Ski Resorts upper mountain trail network, the City of Steamboat Spring’s Emerald Mountain Park , and BLM property.

RCR, as an IMBA Chapter, is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization that raises funds for trail development through grants, donations, membership & event fundraising. Its mission is “to unite bicyclists in Steamboat Springs and Routt County through trails, roads, and pathways; education; and events with the goal of creating a fun, healthy, and safe bicycle friendly community.”
