BMX
A welcomed addition to the BMX-light Rocky Mountain Region, Steamboat’s new fully sanctioned BMX course is home to local race group, Team Flying Wheels, and is a fun public venue for all rider types.
Located near the base of Howelsen Hill, across the river from downtown, this 950-foot professional designed BMX track hosts a local 10-race summer racing circuit open to kids and adults. This new top-notch cycling option is free and open to the public.
Pump Track
The pump track, located in Ski Time Square just north of the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, is a new addition to the quick and easy riding options in town. A great skill building tool, the track is designed to allow riders to cruise the entire course without pedaling, instead relying on “pumping” up and down he slopes and berms to take advantage of gravity. The track is free and open to the public and offers bank-filled fun for the entire family.
Skills Park
A preview section of the new Bear River Bike Park, along the Yampa River at the west end of town, will debut in Steamboat Springs this fall. This new skills park features multiple jump lines for epic sessions. Bring your skateboard too; the Bear River Park also hosts our concrete skatepark.
