The Spring Creek Trail begins as a dirt road, then switches to a doubletrack while passing two ponds. Smooth and scenic, the trail winds through aspen groves, along and across Spring Creek. The trail eventually becomes singletrack and climbs upward with more rocky terrain and alpine scenery. A few challenging climbs, but overall a great family ride with several bridge crossings over the creek.
Note: This trail is popular among numerous types of trail users. Be aware of others during the descent. Upper Spring Creek has a seasonal closure from mid-November to mid-April to protect wintering and calving elk.
