Position: Program Administrator
Job Location: Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Reports To: Board of Directors

Summary: Bike Town USA® is a nonprofit initiative with a mission to promote safety, community enhancement, and economic benefits through cycling. Our vision is to build Steamboat Springs into the ultimate destination for all cycling experiences.

The BTUSA Program Administrator reports to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. Time requirements will be an average of 20 to 24 hours per week with compensation based on experience.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

Programs

  • Help produce annual Steamboat Springs Bike Guide
  • Coordinate annual cycling calendar and special events including Steamboat Springs Bike Week
  • Plan and oversee special events including scheduling and logistics, PR/Advertising, and sponsorships
  • Oversee and help implement Safe Routes to School Programming
  • Any other projects as assigned or designated by board or directors

Marketing & Communications

  • Lead all organizational communications including newsletters, website, social networking entities and publications
  • Develop and implement annual destination marketing plan for Steamboat Springs cycling

Development

  • Write grants, sponsorship proposals and lead revenue generating initiatives that meet and exceed financial objectives
  • Help secure sponsorships and maintain relationships with existing partners
  • Leverage partnerships and outside funding for cycling related projects in Steamboat Springs

Management

  • Organize and plan monthly meetings
  • Serve on internal marketing and executive committees

Outreach

  • Work with local organizations to build strong relationships with elected officials and to educate on the need for bicycle improvements
  • Collaborate with other entities to enhance Steamboat Springs’s appeal as a destination for cycling. Partners include: City of Steamboat Springs, Steamboat Chamber Resort Association, Routt County Riders, and other community partners

Finance

  • Help prepare correspondence for maintaining 501(c)3 charitable status
