Welcome to Bike Town USA, we can’t wait to meet you on the trails!

You might already know Steamboat Springs for its ranching heritage, Olympic athletes, Champagne Powder® and western hospitality, but we are not your average resort town — we are a biking community. No matter your favorite way to play on two wheels, whether its mountain biking, trail biking, road biking, bike tours or anything in between, we’re one of the fastest growing bike-friendly towns in the US. Steamboat Springs has bike trails and rides for every ability level. We’d like to introduce you to a new side of us, welcome to Bike Town USA!

Mountain

XC trails can be found taking off into the hills on all sides of Steamboat.

Up + Down Mountains

From quicker rides on Emerald Mountain, to the extensive network of Forest Service trails in surrounding Routt National Forest, our riding has never been better.

Pedal On

Road

Pedal our friendly roads and you will be rewarded with miles of great vistas.

Rolling Hills + Mountain Passes

Popular Steamboat routes include everything from 20-mile out and backs, to 40-mile circuits, to mixed dirt touring, to epic hill climbs and century rides.

Hit The Road

Downhill

Enjoy thousands of vertical feet of gravity-specific directional trails.

Adrenaline-Pumping Down Mountain

The Steamboat Bike Park keeps the vertical coming so you can focus on gapping jumps, pumping rollers, or bombing down tacky, bermed gravity trails. Bring it on!

Keep Rollin’

Family

Steamboat is the ultimate destination for families of all riding abilities.

Trails for Everyone

Bike vacations are fun for the whole family! Steamboat’s the perfect place to get your little rippers out striding the pump track or getting their first taste of singletrack.

THANK YOU TO OUR TRAIL BUDDIES

Teamwork makes all of our rides better. Thank you to our partners Routt County Riders and the Trail Maintenance Endowment Fund in making Steamboat Bike Town USA!

A non-profit and IMBA Chapter club that continues to grow and represent more variations of biking, including downhill/freeride, year-round commuting, and adaptive cycling.

To provide a permanent endowment to support specific non-motorized trail and trail-head maintenance projects on public lands in Routt and Moffat Counties.
